About Us

The Stuffed Potato was created for a variety of reasons, first and foremost in tribute to soulful music that has inspired many throughout generations. In our intimate environment, the richness of the music can not only be heard, but felt.

Over time we have discovered that it’s true – the most talented people aren’t famous. TSP provides a stage for local talent to come and showcase their world-class musicianship. Gracing our stage are musicians with such impeccable talents that you’re left starstruck, without the fanfare of stardom. Some nights it’s a saxophone that soothes your soul, on another night it may be the impactful thumping of a bass that drives you to move… and on another, a voice so soulful that it reaches down deep within and reveals a hidden emotion.

In childhood, Tina Martin began producing shows. The neighborhood talent shows that she helmed had an admission price of only a few cents. The earnings enabled her to pay participants, consisting of her brother and sister, and childhood friends, in penny candy. The stage was most often a neighbors back porch, with parents gathering at the footsteps to hear a cover of many hits spun from a 45. Several years later, in her illustrious commercial property management career, Tina was known for putting together the best tenant holiday parties, of course featuring live bands.

In high school, Kip and Tina bonded over their love for music. Kip, who has a passion for the bass, grew up in a musical household. His late father could play almost any instrument, from the guitar to the violin, but he mastered drums. People often ask about "the secret" to Kip and Tina’s decades of marriage. Their mutual love for music, especially Earth, Wind & Fire, is a key component.

Their daughter, Jordan, wears many hats at TSP. She manages social media, greets you at the door, makes the pre-show announcements, and then often settles back in her seat to run sound. A musician in her own right, with a degree in film, Jordan sings, plays a variety of instruments and is a songwriter and producer. Jason, their son, a professional athlete, supports TSP in a variety of ways. It’s a family affair, where you’ll find sisters, brothers, nephews and cousins working. And of course, “Mama”, as she’s known to many, holding down a seat at every show stage right.

At TSP, we strive to immerse our guests in the magic that is music. It’s the place where people with excellent taste in music, food and drinks come to have a mighty good time.

A huge thank you to Shaheen Sadeghi for believing in what we do for the artists, communities, and families.
